Draw.io to PNG and SVG Converter

Paste draw.io XML or open a .drawio file. The diagram is drawn right here, and you can save it as PNG or SVG. Nothing is uploaded.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent or stored.

How to use

  1. Paste the XML or open a .drawio file.
  2. If the file has several pages, pick one.
  3. Keep draw.io coordinates, or switch to auto layout for a top-to-bottom flow.
  4. Download PNG or SVG.

Shapes, labels, fill and stroke colors and connectors are read from the mxGraphModel. Compressed diagrams (base64 + deflate) are decompressed in the browser.

Auto layout ignores positions: connected boxes are sorted along the arrows and stacked top to bottom, each box showing its first line as a bold title and the other lines below. Boxes without any connector are left out.

Frequently asked questions

Does it draw every draw.io shape?

No. Rectangles, rounded rectangles, ellipses, rhombuses, text and straight connectors with waypoints are drawn. Other shapes appear as rectangles, and long labels are not wrapped.

Can it open compressed .drawio files?

Yes. Both plain XML and the compressed format (base64 of raw deflate of URL-encoded XML) are read.

How large is the PNG?

The same size as the SVG. With draw.io coordinates, one draw.io unit is one pixel. Auto layout is drawn at 150 dpi and is 1,854 px wide.
